iPhone Kitty

I took inspiration for this from the Crochet Stitch ‘N’ Bitch book- ‘The Happy Hooker’.

However, I ammended it slightly to make it into more of a pouch to stop my phone getting too bashed and battered in my cluttered handbag. This pattern fits my iPhone 4 8GB, however if you need to make it larger or smaller to fit your phone or fruit-based MP3 player just alter the foundation row to the width of your gadget (plus a couple more chain) and the length.

For my Kitty I used JM Crafts, Cygnet Aran Wool in ‘Crimson’ (A) and ‘Grape’ (B). I used a 4.00mm crochet hook.

Back

Foundation Row: Using A, 12 chain

Row 1: Dc in second ch from hook, *dc in next ch; rep from* across, turn– 12 sts.

Row 2-12: Ch 2 (stands for first dc), *dc in next ch; rep from* across, turn– 12sts.

Front

Work same as the back

Row 13: Ch 1, dc in each of first 2 dc, *(dc,htr) in next dc, (tr,dtr,tr) in next dc, (htr,dc) in next dc*, dc in each of next 3 dc; rep from * to * once, dc in each of last 2 dc. Fasten off
